Dingle, Ireland: travel guide

Dingle (An Daingean in Irish) is a small fishing town on the end of the most dramatic peninsula in Ireland — a 50 km finger of sea-sculpted mountains pushed into the North Atlantic with the longest unbroken cliffed coastline in Europe. The Slea Head Drive, a 47 km coastal loop, passes ancient beehive huts, early Christian oratories, and the abandoned Great Blasket Island village. Connor Pass (456 m) is Ireland's highest mountain pass. Dingle itself is an Irish-speaking Gaeltacht community of 1,800 people packed with superb seafood restaurants and atmospheric traditional pubs.
