Getting around
- Walking
Every city has walking. 2.5 km ceiling is a placeholder default, not a researched per-city figure -- Singapore is sheltered and air-conditioned, Bangkok often has no pavement.
Safety and scams to avoid
Unlicensed Catamaran / Dolphin-Watching Touts
Flic-en-Flac Beach and Wolmar seafront
Beach touts sell cash-only seats on "dolphin watching" or catamaran day trips to Tamarin Bay, sometimes overcrowding small boats or cancelling last-minute after payment with no refund.
How to avoid it: Book dolphin trips and catamaran cruises through your hotel or a Tourism Authority-licensed operator with proper safety equipment. Avoid paying full cash upfront to a beach tout with no fixed office.
